The aim is to maximize favorably the leisure time that exists amongst Muslims. The need to spend these precious leisure hours judiciously arose amongst a few Muslims who rose to the challenge. Istijabah Muslim Association was developed out of a previously unregistered family-oriented prayer group. Phone calls were made to some selected Muslim from all walks of life, and consequently, on Sunday, March 5, 2001, the society now named Istijabah Muslim Association has its inaugural prayer session at the residence of its pioneer president, Alhaji Mohammed Adewale.
